                        Tamiya has a paint designation such as XF-11 J.N. Green.  I'm just guessing but does the J.N. stand for Japanese Navy?

                        That is correct.

                        For XF11 and XF12, "J.N." stands for "Japanese Navy"

                        For XF13 and XF14, "J.A." stands for "Japanese Army"
