$51 for a 360 is still a good deal, especially if it comes with a hose and bottles!

And you are welcome. It doesn't really take me all that time (I'm a speed typist!) and I have received so much good advice from these forums that it is my pleasure to "pay it forward".

Do stick around, there is a ton of good people on the site!

So long folks!

Bill,

Thanks a lot for your time (and advice) I've been reading these forums and I found a lot of interesting info around, I guess I'll be hanging around here quite a bit.

As far as the AB's I saw some messages about the garage sale, unfortunatelly I had place a bit on the Bay on one 360-1 Universal before seeing that, fortunately it ended pretty well, got it for $51 (it was the first time I wish I didn't winBig Smile [:D]). Iguess that one for $36 it's about the same once you add the paint jars.

Again thank you for all the info shared,

Fernando

Fernando,

You're very welcome. You can buy both with confidence. While they are built by the same manufacturer (Badger owns Thayer & Chandler) neither are going any where and Badger has one of the best customer service records around. Even if they did discontinue one, they are very good about keeping supplies of the parts around for years.

Mind you, I don't think Ken (Badger's owner) has any plans of discontinuing any models any time soon. The big sellers for them are airbrushes that are decades old. I had a Badger 150 that was easily 25 years old, and ended up buying a new one a few years back and passed the old one down to a young modeler I know. It's still in use today. The only difference in 25 years was the shape of the handle. The old one had an enclosed handle, while the "modern" one had an open-ended handle. The rest of the brush was identical.

As for deals, if you're in the US go to http://www.badgerairbrush.com/ and click on Garage Sale just below the main banner. They are selling demo and 'blem' brushes for cheap. Gold plated 360 for $46 or the regular stainless color for $36, or the 360-7 set with hose and bottles for $76! Failing that, try www.dixieart.com for either the 360 $89, 360-7 set $109, or the Matrix for $96.

I just bought a second 100LG and T&C Omni 4000 from the garage sale, and other than messed up engraving, they are perfectly good airbrushes.

Cheers,

Bill

Bgrigg,

Thanks for the info, it makes me feel better than even thoughI have no idea about AB's I wasn't missing much.

It really stressses me when I'm on the market for something new that I don't know much about and it is  really technical, with so many choices it's mind blowing.

Ok, I'll what sort of deals I can get now I know that the omni is my 1st choice and the 360 the 2nd one.

I was worried that one of them might have been the older version of the other and being discountinued or something like that.

Thanks again,

Fernando

The differences will be very slight. The Badger uses the New Head style regulator and needle chuck of the Anthem, while the Omni uses the T&C Omni head with a reversible spray regulator. The Omni has a slighty better chuck for the needle.

You would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two, though the Omni is arguably the superior brush. But only by a matter of degrees. Dixie Art shows a $6 price difference, and IMHO the T&C would be worth that difference.

So long folks!

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, I bump into these forums while I was looking for info in some airbrushes.

Basically my question is which are the differences between the Badger 360 Universal and the Omni Matrix?

Can anybody help me with this? They seem to be pretty similar but I don't want to miss something critical and since my brain is all overloaded from everything I've been reading it's hard to concentrate on all the technical stuff anymore.

Thanks in advance for any info you can throw this way,

 Fernando
