By using the gloss you have, you will eliminate the step of applying a gloss clear prior to decaling. Paint the model with the gloss, apply the decals then seal it with a flat clear coat to deaden it down.

I once heard that you can add baby powder to glossy paint to make it flat.  Is this true?  I cannot locate a particular color in flat that I am using to assemble a B-17.  Does anyone have an idea?
