1 gal bags are what we use at work and what I started using at home for a 1/2 face mask.  At work we have a sealed cabinet that we store masks in and we keep a couple of dessicant packs in there as well.  I know that this may be impractical at home but it works well if you already have such a cabinet.

Wooops! I guess storing my respirator in a drawer under my workbench is a bad idea!

Thanks for the info about the Ziploc bags. Are the 1 gallon freezer bags are about the right size for a dual cartridge respirator?

What Ross said....

Actually, zip-loc bags are the ideal place to store respirator cartridges.  They keep out both contaminants and moisture, which are the two biggest enemies to ensuring cartridges fail before their time.  You should keep your respirator in there, too...

That's the best way to store them between uses, but be sure to take the prefilters off, first!
