G'day mate!!!! Yeah I had the same thing happen to me last night. I am building an old 1/72 Airfix Swordfish and was going to use the Tamiya flat base with my acrylic gloss(can't get future down under) floor polish and the same thing happened it started getting frosty before it was getting dead flat. Maybe if you put in a 70/30 mix, summit a lil stronger than the 80/20 semigloss and build it up? PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE on a scrap model or pieces of models before you shoot the final product is all I can honestly say. I did however brush on Humbrol Matte Cote over my floor polish and deliberately put it on rather heavy to see if it would frost the polish, but it didn't! So I think I might use this, an enamel over acryl!!!??? Just experiment and try anything, just as long as its a test piece! Cheers, simpilot34
