Wash with MM acrylics
Posted by dragos on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 3:03 PM

I have a problem with washes using MM acrylics. The more I dilute the paint with the MM Acrylic Thinner, the more the mixture doesn't adhere to the surface, but forms small beads. This doesn't happen when using the unthinned paint, so I guess it has to do with the thinner.

Try adding a few drops of joy dish soap to the mix. This will lessen the surface tension and help the wash flow better. I wouldn't reduce the thinner (should use water) because it may end up staining the surface/decals and create an unwanted effect.
