Review of "Basics of Ship Modeling Illustrated Guide by Kalmbach"
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, November 1, 2003 11:08 PM
Hi:

Another simple question from a newbie. I have the Nichimo 1/200 Yamato kit and I like to get all the "secrets" of building a model "right".

Is the "Basics of Ship Modeling Illustrated Guide" worth getting? Can someone reccomend anything else? From an earlier post, I will be getting the Kalmbach How to Air Brush book.

Thanks for the Feedback.

Yes, this book is worth every penny spent on it. A great book that will help you alot.

Also go over to the "ships" section of the forum and ask any question that comes to your mind, anything from rigging the masts (with wire) to IJN colors to photoetch somebody has the answer. All ya need now is somewhere to put that model, with base it's got to be what? Five feet long by two wide? But then, some people have fish on the wall!!!! Have fun..............
