Xtracolor mixed with Humbrol?
Posted by Iva Biggun on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 1:05 PM
I searched for posts about Xtracolor and saw that they have nothing to do with Humbrol. I want to lighten my RLM76 lichtblau but I have no Xtracolor white. I can get Humbrol gloss white. Is it OK to mix a little Humbrol with Xtracolor?

I would say no because each brand usually has a different chemical/solvent make up. Mixing the two may create a disaster or poor results.

If you're talking enamels, the answer is probably yes.  If acrylics, probably no.  Either way, I'd test it before I appled it to the model.
