I could be way out in left field here, but I think the thinner in the black can is a little "hotter" (higher volatility/faster drying) than the other advertised thinner in the blue containers. I only use the thinner in the black pint can for airbrushing.

Model Master Thinner Confusion
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 3, 2003 1:44 AM
I was just looking at the Testor's website for Model Master Thinner and found something I dont understand.

Listed are 2 items that have the same description but differnt names and prices.

There is a product called Airbrush Thinner for $6.99 and another called Enamel Airbrush Thinner for$5.99. As I said they both have the same decription but seem to be differnt.
Check out the link

Can someone shed some light on this for me?
