Clogged Paasche Type H airbrush tip
Posted by watchdoctor on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 12:55 PM

My main problem has always been the paint "clogging up the tip" of the airbrush. I only use water based paint, mostly Polly S. I just thin my paint with regular tap water. I have been modeling with this set up for 5-6 years and haven't been able to get consistent results.
Thanks for the help, Mark

Try isopropyl alcohol instead of water. Thin to consistancy of cream. I've been using Tamiya and Gunze acylics in my H and its never clogged. Don't get discouraged, just keep trying different combos of things and try out on scrap styrene or on old junk model. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I was also told to try windex to thin the paint. I will try both and see how it works. Thanks again, Mark
