Use of MR.Surfacer 1000 or 1200 in the rattle can
Posted by DD-557 on Saturday, May 24, 2008 8:35 AM

Is MR.Surfacer 1000 or 1200, in the rattle can, fine enough to used as a primer or is its primary use for prepping the surface before priming or applying the first base coat? Being un-informed about the product I don't want to use something that may cover any more detail than necessary, fine PE or small kit parts.

Maybe my best choice would be to get an 'automotive acrylic metal primer' in areosol can for all my priming?

Thanks.
