Beginning Airbrushing
Posted by mrazz on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 6:16 PM

Hi

I have completed my airbrush set up. It is an Aztec external mix brush, small air compressor and Badger pressure regulator up to 60 psi. I would like to know what would be the best work area setup with no spray booth. Any info will help.

Thanks, Mark

I also don't have a spray booth. The thing that best works for me is a good ceiling fan, my work area is open, and I spray next to a window. And always wear a breathing mask..

Here's a quick inexpensive option if you don't have a spray booth.  Get a box fan and furnace filter.  Tape the furnace filter to the back of the fan.  Put the fan in a window so that the air is blowing outside.  Spray your model in front of the fan.  It's not as effective as a spray booth, but it's better than nothing.
