Airbrush Prayer
Posted by MonsterZero on Friday, November 7, 2003 11:56 AM
This is my airbrush.
There are many like it, but this one is MINE.
My airbrush is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
My airbrush without me is useless. Without my airbrush, I am useless.
I must spray my airbrush true.
I must spray straighter than my modeling contest competitor who is trying to steel the prize from me.
I must outspray him he outsprays me. I will...
My airbrush and myself know that what counts in scale modeling is not the quantity of models we complete, the noise of the compressor, nor the toxic fumes we produce.
We know it is the contest prize that counts. We will win...
My airbrush is human, even as I, because it is my life.
Thus, I will learn it as a brother.
I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its air supply, and its needle.
I will ever guard it against the ravages of clogged paint and damage.
I will keep my airbrush clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready.
We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God I swear this creed.
My airbrush and myself are the defenders of my reputation as a scale modeler.
We are the masters of our modeling contest competitors.
We are the saviors of my reputation.
So be it, until there is no contest competitors, but the prize.
Amen.

Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom. " Charles Spurgeon
