Aloha Kaimuki,

Didn't even know we were in the same spot when I posted that.  The folks at Gaspro have always been pretty cool, so hopefully they can help you out.

Hey Kona boy, good to hear from locals. Get the tank filled at Gaspro so will try and see what they say. Thanks.

Tank is not empty, needle is on line gauge. Have used this regulator before with no problems. Maybe something's loose in the regulator. Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure what's wrong with your regulator, but I would suggest taking it down to your local gas supply store and having them take a look at it.  I know my local Airgas Gaspro would be happy to do that, and they would probably fix it for free if possible.

Or possibly the tank is low/empty. Is it the tank gauge or the line pressure gauge that is doing the wiggle dance?

Hi.....what are the results of painting attempts? Do you have a moisture trap of any sort in-line?

I am not experienced using CO2 as a source.....but with your gauge behaving in that manner....I would suspect the gauge.....or some blockage in your line.

CO2 Regulator problem
Posted by kaimuki21 on Monday, June 16, 2008 7:33 PM

I seem to be having a problem with my CO2 regulator.  When I turn the gas valve on with or without the airbrush attached, the needle oscillates forcefully within a narrow pressure range in addition to making a vibrating sound.  Doesn't seem to matter what pressure I dial in.  It will stablize temporarily but once I push the airbrush trigger, it happens again.  Is it a bad regulator or small leak?

 Thanks
