Flat coating a cockpit?
Posted by Fyuri on Monday, June 16, 2008 8:09 PM

I was just wondering if, after finishing painting a 'pit, I should flat coat it afterwards, or just put it right into the fuselage.

Thanks!

not unless you finish it with gloss paints. If you use flat paints for your work, there is no need to flat coad the 'pit.

I always flat-coat the office.

Unless there's a leather headrest or part that I know was hard plastic, then I dab a little satin on there to give it a more realistic sheen.  But anything that was metal gets a flat coat.
