scorpr2, IMO your find is 50 % good 50% bad. While Rustoleum is a good paint the pigment is not designed for model work. You will find that some times it will not mix well with your other paints, you will also find that it can cause problems with airbrushes, and finally the paint may not lay down right since the pigment is not ground as fine as model paints. Now with that said I have to say that it will work some times and with great results, but is it worth the risk? You can do what I do, get a cheap model (under $5) for practice and use the paints in question on it. I use a laquer that is designed for photographs for some models that are all acrylic with awesome high gloss results, but the sale laquer will not work with the enamels that I use, and there is not much rhyme or reason to what paints work with which so its all about experiementation.
