Aircraft Colors vs.AeroMaster

Because they don't have to list the orignal manufacturer on the label for products. Many products you buy are not made by the company that slaps the label on. These companies get them from other third party manufacturers. If fact, it's common to find competitors products made from the same factories these days. The fact that the paint came from Spain and is identical to the Model Air paints by Vallejo should convince you that the new Aeromaster paints are indeed made by Vallejo.

You still can get the original Aeromaster paint formulation if you want to compare them. If you are looking for the acrylic paints then get the Polly Scale paints. Same formulation as old Aeromaster but doesn't come in the same colors that was available in the old Aeromaster paints. Aeromaster enamel is the same as Floquil enamel which sadly only is available in the railroad color line now.

I recently bought to of the Aircraft colors and was told they were made by Vallejo also. Matter fact 2 of the shops here in town told me that and one even showed me some literature he had from his supplier.....where it plainly says it. Oh well I have yet to use these...but I was told they are ready to shoot from the bottle. The main reason why I bought them is because they are "toned" down and should work well for all the 1/72nd AC I do

No, they are not the same. The original AeroMaster paints were manufactured by Floquil/Polly S for AeroMaster. These paints were discontinued after Testors took over operations of Floquil. The new AeroMaster paints under the Aircraft Colors label is made by Vellejo of Spain.

It might be possible that you overthinned the paint. The paints are packaged in eye droppers ready for airbrushing.
