removing decals
Posted by pathvet9 on Monday, September 29, 2008 11:59 AM

I tried to search this on the forum but could not get a decent answer.

How does one remove set decals from a model painted with acrylics, then Future? I have an old outdated decal set and they are not behaving well at all. I want to take off what i have done and buy a better new set.

Try covering the decal with a decal softener and then apply a piece of masking tape over the decal and pulling off. If the whole decal doesn't come off, reapply the softener and redo the tape method.

Take a cloth dipped in hot water and gently rub them off.

Apply masking tape and remove,  found this out unintentionally.

All gave some and some gave all.
