I'm really asking...begging for some help here guys. I'm applying the decals to my 1/32 Hasegawa P-51 with the 'Ol Flak Joe nose art. I followed the directions off the Super Scale sheet and placed the checkered character on the left side of the nose. I applied several coats of Solvaset and the decal snuggled down real purty. Here comes the problem.....
Apparently one should never completely trust the aftermarket decal instructions!!!!! Super Scale's instructions are WRONG! The instructions show the character running from left to right on the port side of the nose. In other words, he's facing the tail. This is wrong. In my recently discovered photo of the actual plane, the character should be running forward towards the nose of the plane, not the tail!!!
Does anyone happen to have a spare 1/32 scale character for the port side of the 'Ol Flak Joe P-51D? I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd post it. If anyone can help me, it would be you guys. I really don't want to shell out another $10-$15 for a seet of decals just to replace one decal.
Thank you,
Eric
