Moveing a decale
Posted by Shipwreck on Thursday, March 19, 2009 11:52 AM
I am doing a restoration on a twelve year old model of a WWII WACO glider. Some of the decales are in the wrong location. Is it possible to wet them and slide them an inch or two without destroying them?

Decals that old it is hard to say for sure. If there is no topcoat over the decal it would not hurt to try. Apply decal SET liberally and see it will float teh decal enough for it to be moved. If that works, most likely after you do you will have to give a clear topcoat though.
