Posted by wolfesbane on Saturday, October 3, 2009 9:19 AM

Hi all im new to the forum but i need some advice please.

I have recently bought a old tamiya F-15A 1/48 of ebay all the parts are there and still baged but the decal set is missing and as the older models do not have aparts list on there instruction sheet I was wondering if anyone can help me with finding a good replacement set have looked at some on various sites but most dont cover the warning signs and the cockpit decals so is there anyway to get an original replcament or as close as possiable to it or would i be better just trying to order a similar set from one of the newer F-15 models they have relased would prefer them to be USA markings if possable have looked at some of the isreal sets u can get but dose not look like they have cockpit decals on the sheets.

Thanks for the help

First off, welcome to the forum!

My first advise would be to slow down a bit and use puntuation in your posts. It makes it a bit difficult to understand parts of your request without it.

Unfortunatly I have never seen any aftermarket decals that provide cockpit parts. Does the existing cockpit provide any molded details? If so, you could study references and attempt to paint these yourself. If not you could opt to add aftermarket details from someone such as Eduard, though this would add considerably to the cost of the kit.

On my workbench now:

It's all about classic cars now!

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?

several decal manufacturers also makes general jet instrument decals. You will have to apply each dial separately based on your reference pictures.
