Are you using Micro
set in addition to the Micro
sol? They are two different products. I use the Micro
set to place the decal down and then dab excess fluid away with the corner of a paper towel. I wait until the decal had dried partially before I apply the Micro
sol to get them to snuggle down into panel lines and other surface details. If you put the solvent down too quickly, it can cause wrinkles. Also besure your surface is clean and smooth. I apply my clear-coat, allow it to cure for several days and then I use a bit of plain toothpaste as a final polish (plain boring white toothpaste-no gels) and wash thoroughly before decaling.
