Microsol - Help
Posted by juststartin' on Monday, October 26, 2009 4:48 AM

Hi, I just started using Microsol and followed the instructions. So far its ok but I noticed that once it dried up. I can see that there are places that has a line as thin as a hair. I applied more Microsol (after 12 hours from the initial application) and it wouldn't flatten it out. What should I do? Do I put more Microsol until it flattens out?

I think the lines came where when you put the Microsol, the decal softens and gets wrinkly and you see lines that look like veins then probably dried out and never got the chance to flatten out. Thanks

Are you using Microset in addition to the Microsol? They are two different products. I use the Microset to place the decal down and then dab excess fluid away with the corner of a paper towel. I wait until the decal had dried partially before I apply the Microsol to get them to snuggle down into panel lines and other surface details. If you put the solvent down too quickly, it can cause wrinkles. Also besure your surface is clean and smooth. I apply my clear-coat, allow it to cure for several days and then I use a bit of plain toothpaste as a final polish (plain boring white toothpaste-no gels) and wash thoroughly before decaling.

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?
