If you use decal solutions you take a chance of removing the finish if it one of the highly polished ones.

e.g. Chrome, Stainless Steal, Polished Aluminum and Air Frame Aluminum.  The other shades should be OK to use decal solutions on.

Alclad and Decal Setting Solutions
Posted by maxfax on Sunday, February 14, 2010 9:55 PM

I've just completed the Alclad finish on my P-51, and the bottle states not to use decal solutions. Has anyone used Microsol/Microset and had any issues? If it is a risk to use, what can be used to seat the decals into the detail of the model?

thanks

Rob
