Solvaset

I've noticed a number of posts over the last several months (I just found them with aGoogle search and joined the forums to reply) dealing with the fact that Solvaset is weaker than it used to be.  Don't know if that's true or not because I still have a very old bottle of the stuff.  However, I'm going to have to buy some more before long.  Some of the posts have been wondering what is in Solvaset but haven't been able to find out.  All you have to do is read the front label of an old bottle.  Contents are listed on mine and the ingredients are:

Methoxy-2-propanol
Methoxy-1-propanol

Now all we need is for some of you chemists out there to find out where we can get the two components, do a little experimenting and we will have the old, hot Solvaset that so many of us love and probably an equal number hate.

Me?  I love the stuff and won't use anything else as long as I can get it.  I have no problem with it, but then I use the old fingerprint roll technique instead of applying Solvaset, wicking off the excess and leaving it to dry.
