Shredding decals
Posted by pathvet9 on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 4:46 PM

I know this has been covered many times but this is the first time I have encountered decals that have to soak forever and then shred as one tries to slide them.   Crying

I recall that folks coat them with some solution (Future?) before soaking them off and that works. Help!  Idea

Cheers, Jake

MicroScale also makes a product you can coat decals with prior to application to prevent shattering. It is bsicly a top coat/clear coat.

I like Testor's Decal Bonder....  I use it all the time on 20-30 year old decals, and on my home-made ones... Comes in a 3 ounce rattle can..
