Torn Decal
Posted by jburns on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 2:52 PM

I'm in a bit of a pickle, while i was applying solvaset to the right side of my F-16 THUNDERBIRDS plane, the little brush tore off part of the 'E' on the word 'force' in UNITED STATES AIR FORCE on the side of the fuselage. Iknow it's Royal Blue (i use Tamiya paints). any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.Crying

If there are any decals on the sheet that have the same color you can cut it to shape and use it, baring that your best bet may be to just paint it in.

No, there isn't any decals that i can use. All that is left is the pilots and crew chiefs  names. Guess i'll try to paint it. Gonna be a bear to mask that little 'e' though.

How about a similiar decl from another kit? Anything close to size? Even if it was black rather than blue, you could use that as a mask...

Smallest brush you have and just freehand it. Masking might cause more problems when you pull up the masks.. Just saying, that's what I'd do.

Or for extra points make a diorama of the ground crew trying to fix the chunk of a letter missing.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
