Yes- with reservations.  Inkjet decals are practical with the newer inkjet papers.  But how easy it is depends on what colors are in the decal and what color the background behind it is.  Decals with dark colors applied over a light color background are easy. Use clear decal paper.

Decals containing white, to use over a dark bacground are the problem.  Since an inkjet printer does not print white, you must use white decal paper.   Two options there. One is, you cut the resulting decal from the decal paper perfectly, leaving no white edge remaining.  Or, you set your artwork background color to that of the paint you are painting model with.  How well you can do that depends on your skill with colors. If your printer has been calibrated- actually, your whole computer system calibrated, it may work.  But some colors are hard to match and I have gone batty trying to match some.

I want to build a P-36 in the Cleavland race coloring. There are no decals with this squadron emblem. I have a .png file of the emblem. I also have a low end Kodak printer. Is there any way I can get that emblem into a 1/48th scale decal?
