Clear-coating decals before using them...
Hi all,
Recently I read an old FSM workbench review that mentioned spraying lozenge decals (for a WWI German plane) with Dullcoat before placing them on the model. The same review also mentioned using Micro Sol to help the decals snuggle down.
At the same time, a very experienced builder on another board has mentioned using a gloss coat for the same thing and also using Micro Sol (or even Solvaset).
A third fellow has mentioned using decal fixing solution on the decals before putting them down.
Has anyone tried these approaches? If so, how did they work? I'd assume that Future would be a bad choice because of the fogging that can happen with solvenets.
Opinions?
