So, looks like you wait and print a batch of decals at once or pretty much waste most of a sheet to print one decal.

You can print one decal or a whole sheet, or anything in between.

If you keep the 'feed' end of your sheet intact, you can run the sheet through any number of times---just make sure your print area corresponds to a part of the sheet where there is still a white/blank region left. If you know you're going to reuse the decal paper sheet, print out your first images at the bottom, and move up as you go; that will leave the printer a larger, stable area to grab when it starts feeding.

You can also run a 'test' print on a regular sheet of paper, then cut a bit of decal paper that matches and tape it lightly to the sheet, then run it through again to make your decal. (If it's a large image, I'll print the test sheet on 'draft' setting to save ink. Just make sure to reset it before you run the actual decal.)

Thanks for the info guys.

The main problem I have with inkjets is the ink drying/clogging if it sits for to long without being used. Printing decals is not something I would be doing very often.

Yes.  I keep a supply of both laser and inkjet paper.  I have a black and white laser, which I ordinarily use to print email and various text messages, since toner is much cheaper than inkjet ink.

However, I find the quality of the laser decals not quite as good as the inkjet ones, so I may not buy any more laser paper.  I may stick with inkjet decals in the future, though the laser decals have worked in the past. Of course, I can only do black decals, but those work for registration numbers and many other things.  But keeping one type of paper will simplify things, and the laser paper I buy is not substantially cheaper than the inkjet stuff. I buy both from Micro Mark.

Laserjet decal paper is pretty commonly available. Try these:

Can't give you any specifics, since my printer is an inkjet.

Cheers

I really do not want to buy an inkjet printer  just to print decals.
