Help for getting decals for 1/72 B-24D "The Blue Streak"

Hello everyone! I've recently finished construction on a 1960's vintage Revell B-24D. Construction was very smooth and enjoyable, but that changed when I got to the decals. As soon as I dipped the things in water, they shattered, and I mean shattered! Just like glass! It was terrible. I don't know exactly what caused it, apart from their age, of course. In any case, I managed to save one decal, the nose art. Now, does anyone know how I could possibly get ahold of some new-made decals for this particular aircraft in 1/72? I contacted Revell to see if they could help, but I doubt they'll be able to dig up decals for such an old kit. I know the Eduard No. 2111 "Mission Centenarians" kit includes my desired scheme in the decals, but I'm reluctant to drop $50 on a kit right now for the sake of decals, but that might just be what will have to be done. In any case, does any one out there know of an aftermarket decal set with decals for the "The Blue Streak"? Or better yet, does anyone have the Eduard decals languishing in the spares box, just waiting for a good home? (: I'd appreciate any help!
