Hi,
This is probably not news to a lot of modelers out there but just in case it will help someone a little I'll continue.
I have recently been having difficulty getting stiff, narrow decals such as de-icing boots and CF-18 leading edges to bend around such a sharp curve. The problem I was having was to wet the decal enough to bend without continuously having the part on one side of the wing floating free and having to start over (the narrow decals tend to want to creep back to solid plastic rather than hanging out half-way over the edge.)
Good old Future to the rescue. Place the decal as you want it on the top or bottom side of the wing with half (the part that is to wrap around the leading edge) hanging off into space while the decal dries on the part where it has been placed. Wait a couple of days and brush a careful bead of Future on the part of the decal that is in the right place. Let it dry completely and then go back to wetting the remaining part of the decal until it bends around the leading edge and conforms to the shape. The Future will hold it firmly in place so you can be quite aggressive in softening and bending the remaining decal. It worked for me.
