deacal on top of another decal

I want to place a decal on top of another decal and wonder if this is feasible, and if so is there a special technique that I should use?

It is done all the time.  Some decals are designed in two parts, one to be placed on top of the other.  I did it once, to place a meatball on top of a white star insignia.  I did nothing special, except make sure the first decal is thorougly dry and set.

Shouldn' be a problem, the manufactures use two part details a lot of times.Just lay down the first decal, when it dries, just lay down the 2nd one over it.I would use some micro-sol or micro set on tem.

thank you for the input..........I should also have asked that after the decals set and dry should I do any sanding to smooth out the edges or will the Microsol take care of that?

The only time I would sand a decal would be if I wanted to get a weathering effect by rubbing off the color on raised details underneath, such as wing ribs or rivets.  Also I would use a VERY fine grit and go very gently.  This is a delicate procedure that is easy to mess up.  Good luck!

I agree, Micro Sol is all you usually need, unless  you are going for a weathered look.
