My advice would be to find an additional insignia, then put one decal on the opening and cut out part of it along the opening edge with a sharp blade. Then put the other insignia over the hatch part - so that it matches - and again cut along the edge. If you are lucky, you might also to put the hatch in the opening without glueing, apply the decal and then cut along the seam, but that's more risky. Hope it helps, have a nice day

Can you temporarily assemble the covers closed?
If so, hold them in place with blue/white tac, then apply the decal, be sparing with the decal set, & allow to dry.
When dry, carefully cut the decal along the panel lines with a new blade.

Now that just makes too much sense.... I often wondered how folks applied decals over open hatches.
Thats what I do,put the hatch in temporarly, apply the decal,and then carefully cut the decal around the hatch.Usually works for me all the time.
