help with decaling the 1/150 scale Cutty Sark

Hi there

   has anyone decaled the 1/150 scale Cutty Sark by any  chance I mostly need help with  applying the  long curve decal that goes on the back of the Cutty Sark with out damaging it   I  figured out to apply the numbers that go the hull  I had to order a second set I don't want to messthem up either can anyone help

I frequently cut long narrow decals into sections to make them easier to handle.  I do have to match up the seams, but I find that less onerous than the problem of long decals folding or twisting back on themselves.  Also, put down a liberal amount of setting solution first.  This slows down drying and gives you more working time before they set.

ok thanks Don --- the decal Im  fearfull of messing with is the one that has to make that turn at beack of the ship the numeral numbers I can handle

Still think the best way is to cut it into two or three pieces.  Yeah, you have to maneuver pieces to match up properly, but that is still easier than a decal that has doubled back on itself.
