Ok guys, I am taking the plunge and will start on the decals today. Thanks for all the info. I will post my progress in a WIP on the aircraft forum.

I've used it too, great decal saver. Just do as Phil posted.

Thanks for the info. I am a bit apprehensive because I already destroyed 2 of the 3 decal options. And there are no AM decals for an L-13 Blanik...

Just remember to apply a little past the edge of the design on the decal and trim it up close before dipping in water, otherwise if there are ragged edges, it tends to bunch up in a lump.

One coat is usually enough - try to avoid multiple passes over an area especially once it starts to dry, otherwise lumps and brush marks are a possibility. IF you feel the need to recoat, let it dry for about half an hour before doing so.

I have used the stuff quite often, and there is nothing special you need to know. You can brush it on straight from the bottle, it self-levels but it does add a little thickness to the decal. Brushes clean up with alcohol, it dries in a few hours and you can apply the decals with any of the Micro solutions, Set or Sol. Great stuff for decals that shatter!

Have you flown a Ford lately?

Sorry Borg- never used the stuff. I know Hans always talks about the Testor's equivalent, maybe he could chime in?

No tips and tricks to share? Cover once or twice? Use or do not use setting solution? Let the decal film dry for an half hour or a day?

Using Microscale Decal Film, any pitfalls I shoud know?

I am building a Proline L-13 Blanik and the decals shatter when I try to place then on the model. So I though I could use some Microscale Liquid Decals film to solve that problem. It is the first time I am going to use this product, are there any pitfalls or tricks that I should know?
