Nice little article, thanks for posting it.

I've used Solvaset exclusively since discovering it back in the '70s, and in my experience the "horror stories" associated with it are way oveblown, and/or likely the result of impatience on the part of the modelers concerned. It's "hot," yes, but used in small amounts, I've never had any significant trouble even on very delicate decals--except when I've "jumped the gun" and poked something I should have left alone.

I miss the older-style applicator, which was a glass rod with a ball shape at the end, attached to the cap. Much easier to apply usefully-smaller amounts than with the current brush applicator.

A Guide to Solvaset article now up on my website

Hello everyone.

I just finished up a build where I took step by step photos of how I use Solvaset and wrote a small but I think useful article on my website.

I thought I would share it here, so let me know if you find it helpful, or have anything you think I should consider adding.

Solvaset, a quick guide

 thanks for looking
