Bick

Hey Don,

Congrats on the new printer!! What model and what (new) ink. My old (6 yrs) Epson C88  uses DuraBrite pigmented ink - do Epson have something newer? BTW my Epson uses only 4 inks (CMYK) and does (did, I'm starting to get nozzles clogged) fine.

The new model is an XP-600 with "Claria" inks.  First attempt was a disaster through no fault of the printer. I had printed by mistake something on a sheet of non-inkjet paper. I didn't realize the ink had ran so much it got ink all over rollers and stuff, so attempt at a decal had a mess on it.  Managed to run enough sheets of regular paper through to clean it, and will try decals again today or tomorrow.

I know this problem's been dogging you for some time. Hope the new rig yields better results!

Some of you may remember my posts about the difficulty of sealing ink jet decals.  My old Epson went belly up, and went to store to buy replacement last night.  Was trying to choose from two models of Epson printer.  The salesman suggested that one model, while having fewer colors than the other, used a new type of ink that was faster drying and more waterproof!  That sold me on that model! Installed the printer last night, and can't wait to try some test decals.
