Not too many companies carry code lettering/serial numbers decal sheets for US fighters and bombers of WW2. Will using railroad lettering decals work? Do they even sell them? I'm looking for some in black, white and yellow and in variety of sizes for a 1/48th scale kit.
You could download AmarilloUSAF font and make your own inkjet decals. You can install the font in your font folder then use it with MS Word or whatever and size/color to suit fom from there. Many sources but here is one USAF font.
Techmod and Superscale makes those in all three colours:

Thank you for the link Jack! I did do a search by typing in "code lettering decals" and none of the ones you posted came up. When I did it, it gave me RAF, German, a coupel of French and Modern letterings and numbers.
