Well good for you, I thought Alps "were gone to dust every one"

As to your question I haven't a clue but this may give you an idea or two:

Printing White Background using ALPS MD series printer
Posted by Radarider on Thursday, May 15, 2014 12:58 PM

Help!  Just scored an ALPS MD-5000 on eBay and having problems getting it to print white background before printing artwork over it.  I am trying to produce some custom nose art for my model aircraft and want to apply a white background before the actual artwork is printed over it.  I am following the instructions on the pull down screens but the printer will only print the white outline of the artwork then spit out the sheet of decal paper.  I then have to try to reefed it back into the printer hoping that it will line up correctly, which it normally does not, and wasting a lot of precious and expensive decal paper.  Am I missing something here?  A prompt or a feature that I have to click on or off to get the printer to not eject the decal paper after printing the white background and go directly into printing the rest of the artwork over the white background.  Any help is appreciated.

Also, I am using Windows XP and will eventually have to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.  Any ALPS users out there have ALPS MD printer drivers that will work on the newer versions of Windows operating systems?  I had a devil of a time just getting my MD-5000 to function using Windows XP.

Thanks,
