I once had a client who wanted me to build his "huntin" truck in 1/25 scale.
After looking the real truck over I noticed several crushed beer cans in the bed. (along with a few dead furry critters .)
What I did to make 1/25 scale beer cans was this.
I first cut a piece of aluminum foil about 2 inches square.
I then painted diagonal alternating red and white lines across the whole thing.
Then I measured so I could figure out just how big a Budwiser can is in 1/25 and cut the foil into strips.
I then rolled the strip around a small drill bit and "tada" a beer can.
Since his beer cans were all crushed I didnt have to worry about wording the cans so I just squiggled in some writing and squished them.
it came out perfect
