Waterslide decals
Posted by R.M.S.Titanic on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 2:53 AM

i was just wondering, if i apply my waterslide decals, will they be waterproof after that? Im making a titanic model and want to try to let it float, so surely the decals will touch water, will they come of if they are in water?

If you seal the decals with a clear coat of enamel or lacquer, like Dullcoat or Glosscoat, they will then become waterproof.  If not sealed they may be subject to damage of immersed for too long, though they are still pretty resistant when wet.  Trying to remove old damaged or incorrectly applied decals can be a lot of work.
