Just another thought-if the decals wind up as toast, try Revell-Monogram's website. They have a service that will allow you to get replacement parts for models. They might send you a replacement decal sheet. Keep us posted. -Ed

agree with keyworth. Let them dry out and see if they clear up at all. The decal set solution might have softened the Future a bit...

Thank you for your feed back. The scale is 1/48 and not all of the decals are milky. I will wait 48hrs to see if they clear up. Thanks again for the information on the microscale and aeromaster sheets.

You may have placed your decals before the Future was completely dry. Are all the markings "milky?" Do you have the 1/72 or 1/48 Belle? If worse comes to worse, you can redecal with 1/72 thanks to an old Microscale sheet, and Aeromaster has one as well. For starters, give the kit another 48 hours to dry before rushing to judgement on the decal job, but know you have some backup out there. - Ed

Decal help needed!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, March 22, 2003 12:18 AM
I have just finished the Memphis Belle B-17 and it came out pretty good...until I put on the decals. I am not sure if this is called silvering or not but they are not very transparent...they look very .. milky. I airbrushed the model with enamels and sprayed a coat of future. I let the model set overnight before putting on the decals. I am not using anything but Testors "Decal Set." This is the first time that this has happened to one of my projects....help!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to know if there is a way to correct this so the plane is not a loss.
