I'm working on a 1/48 IDF Weapons Set which has fantastic details and the decals sheets look to be very well made but..................
Wow those Skunkworks decals suck! Solvaset is the strongest decal setting solution by far and will actually melt the decal film to get a painted on look even killing silvering. I have never had Solvaset let me down till now. These decals are like freaking steel!
I have to dip the decal in water, once loose, I apply Solvaset on the decal while on the backing paper to make it a little more pliable. Any other decal would be ruined by now cause it cannot be moved or touched after applying Solvaset. I have to lay Solvaset on the surface, slide the decal on and apply more Solvaset several times to make them conform. Once dry, I brush on several coats of Future to prevent some of the corners from curling!
Just a heads up for anyone who has these in their stash.
