Aftermarket Decals
Posted by CaddMann05 on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 10:02 AM

What companies make aftermarket decals, or even better I need to know where I can get a decal sheet for a specific plane?

I have two sets of 1/48 scale Revell decal sheets for the P51D Big Beautiful Doll, and both have yellowed with one set disintegrating in the water or the decals not even coming off the sheet its made on.

This model has been sitting around for 10 years partially built and I am finally getting the time to work on it.

Or you can also contact Revell Customer Service either online or by phone to order a replacement set of decals. The link and number is on their website.

I have looked at the suggested sites for the decals and it looks like a go.  Thank you fellow modelers.

I am going to try something with this current project though.  Due to it being my first model in about 10 years, I am going to use the best decals of both sheets and hope for the best.

I am using this P51 to relearn and sharpen my skills to the best of my ability, plus I dont want to wait any longer to get this project done.

Last year I purchased an older Revell kit. The decals were dried out and they fell apart once placed in water. Revell replaced the decal sheet pronto with no questions asked.
