diluting liquid decal film
Posted by pathvet9 on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 6:30 PM

I read someplace that some have better luck diluting the Microscale Liquid Decal Film and applying 2-3 light coats. It always seems thick to me, so I would like to try. Yes? what and how much dilution?   Stick out tongue

Cheers, Jake

The manufacturer states that isopropyl alcohol can be used to thin the liquid. You'll have to do some experimentation with the dilution ratio, particularly when you intend to apply multiple coats.

Thanks for replying and checking the mfg website. It dies not say anything on the bottle about dilution.

I actually answered my own question a few minutes ago when I found the note I had made. Said dilute 80% with isopropyl alcohol and airbrush.

I tried that but cannot tell yet whether I have really added anything. Will see if they lift and report later.  Geeked

Cheers, Jake
