Try finding photos of the bombEr from the bombardment group your dad was with. The circle and the letter W goes on the tail. The space break in the circle, the larger set of number goes between it. The artwork goes on the nose - usually on the pilot side.

The UNITED STATES AIR FORCE decals go on both sides of fuselage.

The decal with the 15 and wings also go on the tail rudder on both side.

As I said, try finding pics / photos of the aircraft.

ISO Decal Instructions
Posted by B36 Fan on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 5:28 AM

Hello, all.

I recently purchased an old Monogram B-36 model to build in honor of my late father. He was a B-36 mechanic at Ramey and Fairchild AFB.

I found a set of decals specific to his unit (92nd Bombardment Wing) on EBay, but they do not include the placement instructions.  The set is Scale-Master SM28.

Would anyone have a copy of instructions for this, or be able to direct me to a site where I could find them?  I don't find a website for Scale-Master.

Thanks in advance!
