Decaling Instrument Panel of Airplane

Thanks for asking this question, Allessio.  I had almost the same one.  And thank you to all those who have replied.  I will soon be starting my renewed modelling career with some inexpensive 1/72 aircraft mules and thought I was going to have to cut out each decal dial by hand.  Phew!

I have a mini punch set and punch out the instrument faces from the decal sheet. I paint the IP, apply each punched out decal and when dry apply a drop of Future or clear parts cement for the glass.

What I do is carefully drill out the panel instrument faces with appropriate sized drills.  Then I glue the decal sheet carefully to the back of the plastic panel.  I use a drill size that will drill inside of raised bezels.  I then put a drop of clear gloss on each instrument.

Clear coat it.  Then put the decal on and soak it with decal sol.  Should settle down and conform to the raised detail.
