I've read several threads on Tamiya decals (Tamiya decals seem to get a new thread annually :-)) and on Solvaset. Neither quite answer what I'm after, but pardon the redundancy if I missed something.
I'm building a 1/72 Tamiya 109e. It's a beautiful kit. Not sure about the decals. I put the crosses on the lower wing. I use Tamiya Mark Fit Strong. I'm not sure there is silvering, but the edges around the cross are more visible than I am used to at this stage. I am tempted to hit them with gloss sealer and then dullcote to see whether there is really silvering, but I'll be patient. For the rest of the crosses I'll trim them close to the decal.
There is also a wrinkle in one that I did not notice when I put the Mark Fit on and rolled them out.
Now I have a bottle of Solvaset that I have not tried on anything yet. I'm am tempted to brush it on them and see how it changes them.
What do folks recommend I do at this stage?
