Decal solvent
Posted by Michael B on Monday, April 6, 2020 1:23 PM

I am looking for a somewhat more agressive decal solvent solution than my "go to" Microscale Micro-sol, Micro-set.  I seem to have some stubborn decals that don't seem to respond to them very well.  Thanks in advance.  Michael B.

Micro-Sol is about the strongest thing available other than lacquer thinner which is very dangerous and difficult to use on decals.  Heat helps, with something like a stamping iron or a hair dryer.  The hair dryer really puts out too much heat and must be held way back and used quickly.  Put decal solvent on decal, and then apply a LITTLE heat.

Thanks, Don.  I'll give the heat a try.  I believe I will skip the lacquer thinner with Murphy's Law being what it is.

I agree!  I goofed and that is what I meant to say, just happened to have Micro-sol on my mind and mis-spoke.
