FLIGHTDECS decal supplier in Canada?
Posted by KenK01 on Saturday, August 1, 2020 12:56 PM

Have any of you used a decal supplier in Canada called FLIGHTDECS? I'm trying to buy a decal sheet for a 1/48 UH-34D I'm building and they have it listed on their web site. I sent them an email about a week ago inquiring about buying it, and have not gotten any response. I also called the number they have listed, got a generic answering machine message with no mention of the company name. I left a message with a request to call me, and have not heard back from them. So I'm wondering if they are still in business. Anyone know anything about them? I'm hoping they are still in business and are just a bit slow in response, because they were the only source I found for the decals I want.

I have used them, but it was a long time ago.  Can't recall what the service was like.  I'm assuming you are building an RCAF H-34?  If so, does the Belcher Bits set work?  I deal with them all the time and have had great service.

Caveman - thanks for the reply and information. At this point I think FLIGHTDECS is not in business anymore. I tried to contact them several times and never heard back from them.

The model I am building is the 1/48 Trumpeter H-34 and I wanted decals for a US Marines unit that was in Viet Nam. Caracal made the decal set I wanted, but it was discontinued and I couldn't find it anywhere for sale. Except from FLIGHTDECS. I finally got the decals I wanted from a very gracious fellow modeler. He had the Caracal set, but had not used the decals for the unit I wanted. He sent me those decals, so now I'm good to go. And grateful for the help from that fellow modeler.

You are correct in assuming FLIGHTDECS is no longer on business. I used to buy several sheets from them as I live in Canada and it made is very cost effective for me. It's a shame theyre no longer around.
